Bratwurst is indeed a gift to us from the Germans. It has featured on the list for the best recipes of all time on more than one occasion. Bratwurst is nothing but grilled sausages that are cooked in vinegar and broth or beer. For people who haven’t tasted it yet, I am personally recommending to do so. It is yet another example of how simplicity can bear better fruits than trying something complicated.
Bratwurst is a dish that originated in Germany several centuries back. The name “Bratwurst” in Old German means sausage or finely chopped meat. Well, that’s exactly what it is. However, a common mistake made by some people is that they believe the name was derived from the German verb “braten” which means to roast or to pan fry.
For all those beer lovers out there, Bratwurst is the ideal dish to have along with beer. It is also very easy to make and there is no hard and fast rule that everyone has to follow any specified recipe. There is plenty of room for innovation when you are preparing this delicacy. I have seen people adding bell peppers instead of onions and coming out with marvelous results.
Mentioned below is the recipe which I use to make this wonderful dish.

Here is the list of the essential ingredients for preparing Bratwurst.
