Hello, cheese-lovers…. May I have your special attention please? Oh! How can I forget; your eyes must be already glued on the article by merely reading the caption of this article. Right? And if you are a big cheese fanatic you must have already savored the tang of the yummy cheese. But, anyways here I am to unveil brie cheese to those cheese fans who haven’t tasted the luscious kind of cheese
because I am quite sure that only reading about it will stimulate your taste buds in fact you must have began to salivate.
Ok here is all about it. Beginning from its history Brie cheese has its origins in the French province called, but obviously, Brie - a town 60 miles away from Paris. Some fable entails that its first bite was savored by the Emperor Charlemagne of France, who immediately fell in love with it. He was so crazy for the cheese that his last wish happened to be having the final bite of his favorite brie! This incident sounds interesting and grabs interest for brie undoubtedly. The same happened with me after which I rushed to taste the yummy yum..
The fact that its popularity, which dates back from eight century has not faded till date is its truly impeccable fruity taste. It is soft and creamy with a taste that really matches veggies, fruits or sauces and meat. If consumed as an appetizer, brie cheese is scrumptious and quite adaptable. It is best used as a topping on every food item or rather I should say, it should be served together with whatever food goes, (of course if you wish) but it is usually paired with breads, fruits, crackers and even fruits.
By the way I said you that I will be disclosing everything about brie cheese but I don’t wish to add the manufacturing process as it sounds very technical and as a matter of fact I am not technical- fascinated person. But yes I shall tell you the varieties of brie cheese that includes plain Brie, double and triple brie, herbed brie and other versions of brie made with different types of milk. Regardless, the varieties of brie available, only two chief types of brie named Brie de Meaux and Brie de Melun are licensed by the French Atlantic government to be sold.
Now comes the time to share some exclusive names of the dishes that uses brie cheese in them which you can order the next time you go to a restaurant and enjoy the buttery cheese within. The dishes are- Savory cheese cake, Walnut-glazed brie, Rose-glazed brie, Amaretto baked brie, Spicy roast beef and brie Panini, Brie-stuffed chicken breasts, Upscale Cuban Panini Sandwiches and many others will be added to the list by you once you taste the luscious cheese. However my favorite is Amaretto Brie.. Ah! The creamy almond flavor with a baguette is just mmmmmmmm…. So, next time you tell me which is your favorite..
